2. INTERNATIONAL SCREENDANCE FESTIVAL FREIBURG

Das 2. INTERNATIONAL SCREENDANCE FESTIVAL FREIBURG wird von 27. bis 30. Mai 2021 in einer hybriden Form stattfinden. Es ist eine Kooperation zwischen der Tanzsparte des Theater Freiburg unter der Künstlerischen Leitung von Adriana Almeida Pees als Initiatorin und den beiden Screendance-Expert_innen und Gründer_innen des Festival International de Vidéo Danse de Bourgogne Marisa C. Hayes und Franck Boulègue. Ziel des Festivals ist es, die höchst international agierende Kunstform Screendance nicht nur in Freiburg und dem Bundesland, sondern auch im Dreiländereck und in ganz Deutschland zu etablieren. Es werden Screendancefilme aus Südamerika und Deutschland präsentiert. Die Filme aus Südamerika werden von namhaften Festivalleiter_innen der dortigen Screendanceszene zusammengestellt.
Für die nationalen Screendancefilme läuft ab sofort ein Open Call (siehe unten).
The 2nd INTERNATIONAL SCREENDANCE FESTIVAL FREIBURG will take place from 27 until 30 May 2021 in a hybrid form. It is initiated by the dance department of Theater Freiburg by Dr. Adriana Almeida Pees (head of the dance department and curator) in cooperation with Marisa C. Hayes and Franck Boulègue, two Screendance experts and the founders of the Festival International de Vidéo Danse de Bourgogne. The festival’s aim is to establish this highly international art form Screendance not only in the city of Freiburg and the county, but also in the triangular region Freiburg-Basel-Mulhouse as well as in Germany. It will present screen dance films from South America and Germany. The films from South America will be selected by renowned leaders of local screendance festivals. A call for national screendance films is now open.

Das 2. INTERNATIONAL SCREENDANCE FESTIVAL FREIBURG 2021 findet vom 27. bis 30. Mai 2021 statt. Das Festival will Arbeiten fördern, die gattungsübergreifend Tanz- und Filmtechniken sowie Elemente aus Performance, Musik, digitalen Medien und bildender Kunst verbinden.
The 2nd INTERNATIONAL SCREENDANCE FESTIVAL FREIBURG 2021 will take place from 27.05. – 30.05.2021. The festival intends to promote works which combine dance and film techniques as well as elements from performance, music, digital media, and fine art in the medium of video in a cross-genre work.
Wir suchen Screendancefilme von in Deutschland lebenden Künstler_innen (maximale Länge 10 Minuten und nicht älter als 2019)
Einreichung möglich bis 24.01.2021 (12 Uhr CET)
We are looking for screendance films by German residents (1 to 10-minutes length, not older than 2019)

Der Einreichungsprozess läuft elektronisch und die Filme müssen online einsehbar sein (über Dropbox, Vimeo, YouTube o.Ä.). Das ideale Format ist DCP (mp4 oder mov ebenfalls möglich). Aufzeichnungen von Tanzstücken präsentieren wir nicht.
The submission process is electronic and films must be available to view on Dropbox, Vimeo, YouTube or another website. Once selected, please note the ideal screening-format is DCP (mp4- or mov-format is also acceptable). We do not screen documentaries or recordings of live performances.
