CLASS
# untied : a contemporary dance class
Where precision meets freedom, physicality meets expression.
During this class, we will zoom into different movement qualities, elements and pathways found within the body as a base to enter into technical exercises and choreographies.
Starting with a warm-up and improvisational exercises to ground the body and open the senses, an emphasis will be placed on the dancers’ connection with floor as well as awareness of their pelvis as the motor for movement. We will move on to bring this knowledge into technical exercises and choreographic phrases.
The goal is to attain a strong intuitive awareness of our body and explore different physical forms of expression as a means to move with both precision and freedom. It will be physical, ornamental, unpredictable and sensual.
